The semantic markup model provides another strength: elements like <article>, <nav>, <aside>, and <figure> carry meaning that benefits accessibility tools, search engine indexing, and content reuse. The open, W3C/WHATWG-governed specification ensures vendor independence, and HTML's text-based nature means documents are trivially created, inspected, and processed with any programming language.
